End User Licence Agreement

Please read this End User Licence Agreement (“Agreement”) carefully before using your Bastet Home device or any associated software and services. By activating or using your Bastet Home device, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

1. Parties

This Agreement is between you (“User”) and Osiris Consultants Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“Bastet Home”, “we”, “us”).

2. Licence Grant

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, Bastet Home grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Bastet Home device and associated firmware solely for personal, non-commercial use within your household.

3. Permitted Use

You may:

  • Install and operate the Bastet Home device on your home network.
  • Configure the device through the management interface for your household members.
  • Receive firmware and filter-list updates as made available.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the firmware.
  • Use the device for commercial purposes or resell access to its features.
  • Modify the device in ways that interfere with network infrastructure outside your household.
  • Circumvent or disable any safety or filtering mechanisms.

5. Privacy and Data

Bastet Home processes all filtering and device data locally on the device. No browsing history or personal data is sent to Bastet Home servers unless you have opted into a premium cloud service tier. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Updates

Bastet Home may issue firmware and filter-list updates. Updates are applied automatically unless you have disabled this feature. We reserve the right to discontinue update support for discontinued hardware versions with reasonable notice.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The device and software are provided “as is”. Bastet Home makes no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will block all harmful content. No filtering system is 100% effective.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bastet Home shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the device. Our total liability shall not exceed the price you paid for the device.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of the device following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
